The Old City Mercantile is the unparalleled restoration of the group of six historic Greek Revival Style buildings known as the Girard Estate Warehouses. Located at 20-30 N. Front Street, the buildings were originally constructed between 1828 and 1834 by the estate of Stephen Girard.

The Old City Mercantile was awarded historic tax credits and included collaboration with the Pennsylvania Historic and Museum Commission as well as the National Parks Service. BLT Architects served as Architect of Record leading the building’s complete restoration, maintaining its original façade and other historic touches while updating the entire infrastructure and transforming the property into a truly modern, luxury residential building.
Additional local firms included Clemens Construction as the General Contractor and Robert Powers & Associates as Historic Consultants. Financing for The Old City Mercantile project was provided by the Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group and Wachovia Bank.

Rentals are available for immediate occupancy at this 5-story, 35 unit building. The units range in size from 723 square feet to 2,413 square feet and in price from $1,300 - $3,900 per month for one, two and three bedroom homes. For more information: http://www.oldcitymercantile.com.
