It’s time again to take a look at some of the strange and interesting queries from ProfNet, a service that sends us journalist queries and calls for sources dozens of times throughout the day. Enjoy!

PRODUCTS: Sexy Board Games - Freelancer
For a women’s lifestyle Web site, I’m writing a roundup on sexy board games and am looking to get in touch with companies. I may request samples, which can be returned, provided you make return arrangements in advance. Contact: XXXXXXXX
CAREERS: Women Applying for Topless Jobs - BlogHer
MSNBC ran a story today that there’s been a dramatic increase in the number of women applying for topless waitress jobs and jobs in strip joints. I want to talk to experts to see 1) if this is true, and 2) how much money can a topless waitress/stripper make. And if there are women who lost white-collar jobs and are now going topless to pay the bills, I’d obviously like to talk to them. I can use pseudonyms if the women prefer to not be identified. I am the contributing editor for the Business and Career section at BlogHer. Contact:XXXXXXXX
INTERNET: Is the Internet Running out of Space? — Sunday Times of London
Time Warner Cable’s aborted attempt to hike pricing for heavy net users left a serious question in the air: Is demand exceeding supply on the Internet, which over the last decade we have assumed is a magically infinite and renewable resource? What do we need to avoid the brownouts and worse as foretold by TCW and others? The Sunday Times of London is the biggest-selling broadsheet newspaper in Europe. Contact:XXXXXXXX
HEALTH: Ear Stapling for Weight Loss — MSNBC.com
I’m working on a story about ear stapling as a weight-loss technique — and I understand it’s also done to help folks quit smoking. I’d love to speak with acupuncturists who can tell me why or why not the practice might work. And I’d especially love to speak with anyone who’s had personal experience with ear stapling, either as a practitioner or as someone who’s had this done for themselves and can tell me about the experience. Additionally, I’d love to speak with weight-loss experts who can talk about why or why not ear stapling might work. Contact:XXXXXXXX
