HALSTEAD DEVELOPMENT MARKETING WINS MARKETING CONTRACT FOR THE STANDISH IN BROOKLYN HEIGHTS
Recently Gut-Renovated, The Standish is a Historic, Full-Service Rental Building
New York, NY - October 6, 2008 - Halstead Development Marketing today announced they have signed on as the exclusive marketing firm for The Standish, a premiere rental development in Brooklyn Heights.
Taurus Investment Holdings recently purchased The Standish and completed a $10 million renovation of the building in Fall 2008. As part of their new strategy for attracting tenants, Taurus signed with Halstead Property Development Marketing in September to operate the rental office and announce the opening of this unique rental property to the general New York community.
Representing the epitome of luxury living in Brooklyn Heights, the recent renovation of The Standish included electric and plumbing upgrades, new kitchens and bathrooms, and the installation of new hardwood flooring throughout. The 12-story building, located at 169 Columbia Heights, has a total of 94 units with multiple floor plans ranging in size from 400 square foot studios to 1,000 square foot two-bedroom homes, and even a planned 2,500 square foot three-bedroom duplex. Monthly rent prices range from $2,200 to$5,900 for studios, one and two-bedrooms and $7,200 to $15,000 for deluxe, larger one-of-kind apartments.

Built in 1903 as The Standish Arms Hotel and recently reborn as The Standish, the building is located steps from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and one subway stop from Manhattan and boasts some of the best skyline views New York has to offer. The rental office is located on site and is open on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 P.M. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 3:00 P.M. Halstead will show the building at other times by appointment.
