Microsoft’s Marketing Ploy to Win in Search

by jill ~ May 22, 2008

It’s never been done before (has it?) - according to this Associated Press story, Microsoft is now offering rebates to online shoppers who go through Microsoft’s search engine Live.com to find what they are looking for.   I’ll be interested to see how this plays out.  It will either be huge or a big bust.

In other news:

- The New York Post reports that Warren Buffet is saying there are very few opportunities to invest in the U.S. and will look to Europe even more moving forward.

- The New York Daily News reports that Senator Ted Kennedy suggested his wife would take over his role…

- This NYTimes.com story totally creeps me out and makes me think of Pet Sematery by Stephen King.
