from WSJ: Online news takes another victim

by admin ~ January 2, 2008

From today’s Wall Street Journal, I was suprised to see this brief that the Cincinnati Post closed for good - after 126 years, alongside an Adverising feature about how advertising agencies will need to focus more on online this year.   More evidence that online news - and major wire conglomerates - are taking over the industry.  I think 2008 is going to be the year we see the significant effects online news is having on the traditional outlets.  This will mean more online activities for everyone in the space -including public relations - as viral, online and other roque techniques will increase this year.

Stories in all papers today about the dismal housing market and fears of a recession.  Haven’t we been asking the same question for about three years?    ABC News issues this list of top investment ideas for 2008, but my money’s still on green investing in the short term.  The question is… what’s next?
